It is a tradition for Mesta and all of the Chios Island.

The festival takes place on 18th of March 2013, at the town square. People visit from all over to celebrate this comic event which brings laughter to everyone as the Mighty Sultan of the Ottoman Empire punishes the villagers for cheating taxes, stealing crops and other accusation. It all takes place under a comic atmosphere to celebrate the Turkish collectors who tries to collect taxes in a sarcastic way.
